baby shower bliss

Myself & handsome hubby

My mother and I

Some of our happy guests!

All of our fabulous loot.

My wonderful hostess Melissa and myself

The gang!

Let me preface this post by first saying I have the most awesome friends and family in the world and I am truly blessed! I'm so thankful for everyone who came to my baby shower yesterday and it means so much to Nick and I to know so many people out there already care about and love this little girl.

My girlfriend Melissa threw us the most amazing baby shower yesterday at the L.S. Ayres Tea Room at the Indiana State Museum. No detail was overlooked from the fun celebrity baby match-up games to the tasty treats. I couldn't imagine a better time and Melissa proved to be the hostest with the mostest!

celebrating baby L

I'm so excited- and I just can't hide it! My sweet girlfriend Melissa is throwing my baby shower today. Since I'm expecting a girl we're going all out with the girlyness and celebrating with high tea at the L.S. Ayres Tea Room in the Indiana State Museum. I can't wait to see all my family and friends today in honor of this sweet, sweet little baby.

room in the inn?

Now is about the time I would guess people begin to become acutely aware of the current condition of their guest bedroom(s) or in some cases their lack of of having one. The holidays usually mean either you will be headed somewhere or guest(s) will be headed your way. We gave up our guest room recently to the treadmill which migrated from what has now become the nursery. I'll be relieved when we move someday and I can have it back again because I really enjoyed the idea of being able to offer friends and family a warm cozy bed to stay in. Till then I'll just swoon over these rooms.

happy thanksgiving friends!

Happy Thanksgiving to one and all! This year I feel like i have more to be grateful for than ever. A healthy baby on the way, a wonderful husband, and loving family and friends. Oh and not to mention the cozy little Pomeranian currently curled up on my lap and the sweet little Yorkie nestled by my side. Life doesn't get much better and I hope all my friends out in the blog world have a fabulous Thanksgiving too

xoxo

If I had limitless amounts of cash and I wasn't pregnant I'd be sporting the above polyvore ensemble for Thanksgiving this year. It's fun to dream!

an ode to pregos

Sure these are all famous pregos but every now and then it's good to remind us everyday pregos we're still capable of being pretty. Also I've decided that while I might currently feel like a bus the odds that these ladies felt like that too at some point are pretty good.

It's all worth it though. Here's little L's latest photo. We went to have a 3d/4d ultrasound Monday but she was being super shy and hid most of the time so we'll try again in a few weeks.

coco

My wonderful, thoughtful husband offered to take me to see "Coco Before Chanel" last night. I'm so glad he did too because the cinematography was absolutely amazing! Unfortunately I don't speak french fluently so I had to be super focused on the subtitles at the same time. I'm thinking it will defiantly be worth seeing again just to enjoy any of the scenery I might have missed.

Some of my favorite Coco quotes:

"In order to be irreplaceable one must always be different. "

"Success is often achieved by those who don't know that failure is inevitable. "

"Those who create are rare; those who cannot are numerous.
Therefore, the latter are stronger."

"A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous. "

Have a fabulous weekend all!
