lucy turns 1

Lucy girl had an amazing 1st Birthday party yesterday! I had so much fun planning and putting it together for her. She had a great time partying it up with her family and friends and I think a good time was had by all. The party had a home made shabby chic ultra girly feel.

homemade french vanilla smash cake with tiny bunting on skewers

handmade birthday bunting hung on the mirror- i used scrapbook paper to make it

a painters drop cloth from Sherwin Williams served as the perfect table covering

i utilized a lot of my antique jars and china on the tablescape

l-o-v-e the wilton ruffle cupcake wrappers

Lucy loved everyone singing to her

the red velvet cupcakes were a hit!

after a little coaxing Lucy finally got into her cake

i made her tutu to match the light pink and teal blue color scheme

time for an outfit change

to my delight she left that hat on for a good while- she didn't really seem to care

lots of fun birthday cards and presents

I made a little timeline in the hall by cutting out pictures of Lucy's first year. I glued them into coffee filters that I dip died with food coloring.

we sent our guests home with some home made sugar cookies. we had been saving her formula cans for months to have the right amount.

the birthday girl had a blast!
